Produk ini menawarkan kinerja kencang untuk menjawab tuntutan pemakai.  
Pengguna ahli atau gamer tentu mengincar produk pilihan. Setidaknya spesifikasi yang dipilih bukanlah yang hanya dipakai untuk menjalankan aktivitas biasa. Sayangnya, pilihan laptop gaming di tanah air tidak terlalu luas. Seringkali juga spesifikasi yang diusung tak sesuai dengan keinginan mereka. Berkaca dari problem inilah Sager muncul dengan produknya yang bisa dibangun sesuai keinginan konsumennya.  
Xenom NP9150 Custom menjadi salah satu varian kelas atas Sager dengan komposisi hardware cukup perkasa untuk menjalankan berbagai aktivitas, khususnya game 3D. Berbekal prosesor Core i7-3920XM (Quad-core Extreme Edition) 2,9 GHz (yang bisa digenjot sampai 3,8 GHz) plus RAM DDR3 16 GB produk ini dijamin kencang. Hal ini masih ditambah dengan dukungan chip grafis GeForce GTX 680M serta dukungan SSD sebesar 240 GB. Jika hal ini masih dianggap kurang memuaskan, konsumen masih bisa menentukan sendiri komponen apa yang ingin digunakannya pada produk ini.
Potongan Xenom NP9150 sebagai laptop gaming mungkin terlihat kaku dengan garis tegas yang terkesan standar. Namun, gamer akan memaklumi ciri khas Sager yang lebih mementingkan “jeroan” daripada tampilan luar. Sebenarnya koneksi input-output di laptop sendiri sangat mencukupi dengan banyaknya port I/O termasuk dukungan untuk audio 7.1. Ini masih masih diperkuat dengan speaker ber-subwoofer dari Onkyo serta dukungan sistem suara THX TruStudio Pro yang membuat keluaran suara menjadi lebih mantap.  
Xenom NP9150 mampu menampilkan video Full-HD di layar 15,6”. Umumnya, aplikasi dan game berjalan cepat, khususnya untuk game 3D yang kompleks. Pengguna akan bisa mengetahui perbedaaan pergerakan objek di layar. Pergantian frame demi fram berlangsung secara mulus di layar, khususnya saat menjalankan game dengan frame sangat cepat. Tak mengherankan bila skor grafis (lihat tabel) begitu tinggi. Keyboard juga nyaman dipakai baik saat bekerja maupun bermain game. Kami juga menyukai backlight-nya yang bisa berganti warna.

Bagi yang tak puas dengan spesifikasi permanen dalam notebook spesialis gaming, produk Sager ini ibarat angin segar yang bisa dipilih. Spesifikasi Xenom NP9150 memang mahal namun sesuai dengan kinerja yang dihadirkan. Hal ini juga tergantung kepada pilihan komponen yang diinginkan konsumen.

Hasil Uji
Komponen papan atas di Xenom NP9150 membuat kinerjanya sangat melesat, khususnya pada kemampuan render 3D. Sayang kebuasannya ini membuat daya tahan baterainya menjadi singkat.

Ainol Novo 7 Flame [Review]

Hemat dan Melesat
Salah satu komputer tablet dual-core terkencang yang tidak mahal. 
Yang sudah mengidamkan komputer tablet berkinerja cukup kencang namun berdana terbatas biasanya cuma bisa “gigit jari” melihat harga produk merek terkenal. Pasalnya, komputer tablet yang kencang umumnya dirilis dengan harga di atas dua juta rupiah. Terpaksalah pengguna beralih ke komputer tablet nonbranded yang kebanyakan merupakan produk negeri Cina.
Nah, di antara jajaran komputer tablet pendatang ini, kami cukup terpukau oleh kehadiran Ainol Novo 7 Flame/Fire. Produk ini memiliki spesifikasi termasuk lumayan namun tidak mahal.  
Di beberapa forum komputer tablet, seri Novo 7 Flame ternyata juga disukai banyak orang dibandingkan varian Ainol lainnya. Model lain yang serupa dengan Novo 7 Flame adalah Novo 7 Aurora II yang ternyata memiliki spesifikasi serupa. Dengan prosesor dual-core dari Amlogic 8726-MX berkecepatan 1,5 GHz (ARM Cortex A9), kinerja tablet diperkirakan cukup ngebut. Juga terdapat produk yang mirip yakni Tabulet Beat duos yang hadir dengan clock CPU 1,2 GHz.  
Dibandingkan Aurora II, Flame tampil lebih lengkap dengan tambahan koneksi Bluetooth, kamera belakang 5 MP, dan resolusi layar HD 800x1280 pixel. Kerapatan layar ini tergolong paling tinggi di antara komputer tablet 7” lainnya, dan menyaingi Galaxy Tab 7.7 Samsung. Layarnya memakai panel IPS dari LG dengan tampilan cukup bagus dan sudut pandang sebesar 178o. Layar ini juga sanggup menahan tekanan. Selain spesifikasi yang lumayan ngebut ini, desain komputer tablet yang ramping (1,2 cm) dan ringan (338 gram) ini membuat produk ini enak ditenteng/dibawa bepergian.
Berbekal GPU Mali-400MP inti ganda, kemampuan rendering grafis perangkat ini terlihat cukup lumayan. Namun, kinerjanya masih kalah sedikit dibandingkan Tabulet Beat duos yang mengusung chip serupa. Tampaknya, resolusi yang lebih tinggi pada perangkat ini membuat chip grafisnya sedikit kewalahan. Memainkan game HD yang disalurkan ke LCD TV via HDMI juga menyenangkan. Anehnya, tampilan di komputer tablet selalu aktif meski switch dual display kami matikan. Akibatnya pergerakan visual tampak berat.

Kekurangan utama perangkat ini terletak pada sensitivitas layar yang kadang memiliki lag. Selain itu, produk ini juga tidak dilengkapi modem 3G internal. Namun, kami cukup puas mencoba Ainol Novo 7 Flame. Menurut kami, komputer tablet ini sudah sangat mencukupi untuk menangani aktivitas komputasi mobile sehari-hari. Daya tahan baterai 5000 mAh-nya juga cukup tahan lama. Dan yang lebih penting, harganya lebih terjangkau dibanding merek populer berspesifikasi setara.

Dell XPS 14 [Review]

Ringan dengan Grafis Mumpuni
Ultrabook lebih sering digambarkan sebagai laptop ringan untuk aktivitas mobile dengan daya operasional yang lama (sehingga cocok dibawa bepergian).
Sayangnya, ada banyak keluhan yang dialamatkan ke produk ini seperti kinerja grafis yang terlalu “biasa” sampai ringkihnya struktur fisik (akibat upaya produsen mementingkan ketipisannya). Pandangan ini dirombak Dell lewat seri XPS 14 dengan layar 14“. Seri ini juga hadir dengan ukuran layar 15,6” (via tipe XPS 15).
Jika dibandingkan dengan pendahulunya (XPS 14z), terdapat perbedaan yang unik. XPS 14 memang ramping (dengan ketebalan hanya dua sentimeter) dengan warna perak yang terlihat mewah. Namun casing-nya amat kuat berkat penggunaan bahan alumunium keras yang dipadu dengan penggunaan bahan magnesium di area palmrest. Sementara bagian dalam ultrabook sendiri memakai bahan silikon.
Penggunaan bahan-bahan ini membuat panas ultrabook cepat disebar merata. Sayangnya, hal ini berimbas pada bobotnya yang melampaui dua kilogram sehingga kurang tepat untuk menyebutnya sebagai ultrabook.
Selain kuat pada bagian casing, ternyata produk ini juga dilengkapi layar yang dilapisi Gorilla Glass. Kaca yang terkenal sangat tangguh ini melindungi layar yang memiliki resolusi 1600x900 pixel ini. Tampaknya Dell menginginkan XPS 14 agar befungsi sebagai laptop kokoh mengingat produk ini akan sering dipakai di luar ruangan (sehingga memiliki risiko terbentur/tergores benda keras). Dengan alasan yang sama, baterai lithium-polymer 8 sel pun pun dibuat menyatu sehingga tak bisa dibuka/diganti pengguna.
XPS 14 yang tersedia dengan Core i5/i7 ini dilengkapi RAM 8 GB dan chip grafis nVidia GeForce GT 630M. Modul grafis ini terbilang memadai untuk melakukan render grafis 3D. Chip ini terbukti mampu memainkan game yang tidak terlalu berat. Sayangnya, terdapat keterbatasan fasilitas I/O. Ini termasuk ketiadaan optical drive yang seharusnya disediakan untuk laptop seberat ini.

Apa yang ditawarkan XPS 14 kali ini memang terlihat berbeda. Desainnya yang tangguh plus baterai yang tahan lama merupakan nilai tambah yang menambal kekurangan produk ini dalam hal bobot beratnya. Produk dengan kinerja gigih dan desain yang tak ringkih ini merupakan pilihan bagi yang bermobilitas tinggi.

Hasil Pengujian
Spesifikasi produk ini mumpuni dengan daya tahan baterai yang luar biasa. Kinerja baterai yang lama disebabkan penggunaan baterai lithium-polymer 8 sel. Selain itu, duet Intel HD 4000 dengan NVIDIA GeForce GT630M menghasilkan kinerja yang dua kali lebih cepat dalam pengujian 3D Mark11.

Keyboard dengan tambahan fasilitas backlit membuat kegiatan mengetik dapat dilakukan kapan saja termasuk dalam kondisi gelap/temaram.


Port Minim 
Rangkaian port I/O dikumpulkan di bagian kiri (kecuali cardreader dan audio). Sayangnya, jumlah port I/O tidak cukup lengkap meskipun masih terdapat area yang mencukupi.






Pelat XPS
Pelat beremblem XPS di sisi bawah ini ternyata dapat dibuka dengan jari (pada bagian segitiga). Anda akan melihat nomor seri Windows dan nomor seri lain termasuk informasi baterai.





Plus     : Desain kokoh; spesifikasi mumpuni; baterai tahan lama.
Minus : Bobot berat; tepian bodi meruncing; harga cukup mahal.
